Article 15 punishment ?

Okay if you (E4) recieve a reduction in rank (to an E3) and fortieture of half months pay for two months, okay E4 pay is say 2218 and E3 pay is say 1859, but the total amount they are telling you to be paid is 2150, how does that add up ?

Also can you offer to pay the funds immediately instead of having wage garnished ?

Update:

Thats what I don't understand, its suppose to be at the rank they bust you to, but it doesn't add up. I did set up an allotment but made a booboo cuz I put it as if it was E4 pay, so now once its accepted can I go back and change the allotment and will it still go through if already being garnished ? Is it possible to get busted to E3 but still get E4 pay ? Or did they mess up the amount ?

Read how it is phrased. Does it say "forfeiture of half months pay for two months, reduction in rank" or does it say "reduction in rank, forfeiture of half months pay for two months." The punishment is put in place according to how it is written. Which comes first?

If it has the pay reduction first they will calculate that off of your rank at the time of the punishment. If it has the reduction in rank first, then the pay reduction will be based off your new rank as that comes after the rank reduction.

OK...yes it does add up...I am sure there it does I dont have it in front of me but there is a math solution that we (paralegals) use to figure out the amount. As for putting it all up front...no...that is not the punishment. Yes it is still possible to get E4 pay while busted to E3 b/c finance is slow! They will deduct the extra amount that you got paid later.

The half months pay is at the level they bust you to, at least that is what it was in the 70's when I was a newbie and screwed up once.

you cant have your funds immediately payed.. but what you can do is allot up to 70% of you check to another bank.. they cant touch the money getting alotted... and your aloud to allot up to 70%..
