I had ttc for 12 months before going on clomid. I took 3 rounds of clomid and got pregnant the 3rd month on it. I know have a beautiful healthy 7 month old baby girl.

I started taking 50 mg of clomid on days 5-9 the first month. I did not ovulate that strongly so my doctor switched to 50 mg on days 4-8. I ovulated, but did not get pregnant that month. The 3rd month I took 50 mg on days 4-8 and got my BFP.

clomid has some side affects such as mood swings, hot flashes, sore boobs and upset stomach. You should take it at night to help reduce any affects. I was lucky and did not experience any of it. There is a 10% increased risk of having multiples.

Also, I would highly recommend using preseed with the clomid. I used it the third month when I got pregnant and really think it helped. it is a lubricant that creates a friendly environment for his boys to swim to in. you can buy it at www.preseed.com.

I know exactly how you feel!! I just got my first prescription for Clomid- I am starting next month. I know that I have had alot of people tell me the had good luck with it. Best of luck to both of us!
