Is it safe to over clock a Graphics Card?
I use a NVIDIA Geforce 7600 Graphics Card. I want to overclock it with the ASUS Smart Doctor provided with the card. Is it safe?
Will it effect positively to my game play performance?
Please notify me soon.
Thank you.

you need to find out just how hot your graphic card gets when playing a game and find the safe limit for your card, then you overclock a bit more and try playing the game to make sure it doesnt go over the safe limit and then your fine. as for any increases in performance if you just trying to play nowdays game with your old 7600 gt and hoping overclocking it will help a bit, im afraid it not going to do much because overclocking it doesnt really make the main core of the graphic card more powerful just faster clock times for the mhz,

first see where u are keeping your system. if it is inside the air conditioned room then heating problem of graphics card won't happen to an extent when u overclock.
otherwise the overclocking can give heck a lot of problem and your graphic card may even land in scrap yard.
what ever the case do know how to use these software meant for overclocking and enjoy its benefits.

Overclocking can be safe and can give you a performance increase, but you need to know what you're doing. I've seen people end up with slower computers due to faulty overclocks.

yes it can be safe. you can only overclock the card so much. the more you overclock the card, the hotter it gets. If it gets too hot, it will likely ruin the card and potentially other things in your system.

An OC will always increase your comp performance as long as its stable. So after you increase your vcard speed (mhz), make sure you run a stability test software like RivaTuner, or ATITools. If it doesn't crash, then keep the oc and look at the temps so you wont overheat it.

i wouldnt overclock it if its at that temp yet thats only me i'd overclock it whilst its cool so attempt each little thing u can to get ur gpu to 40 5-50 then overclock it and make the max 70-eighty 5..c
