Not sure what you're talking about. Jon Fitch could win a "most ripped guy" contest ahead of Palvik. Unless you're talking about some of the heavyweights like Gonzaga or Sylvia, who both look kinda soft. Then again, so do many boxing heavyweights. And for those talking about the number of rounds... Your average boxer doesn't go twelve rounds. Those are for the big dogs of the sport. The average boxer does four to eight, three-minute rounds. Compare that with three to five, five-minute rounds. A rookie MMA fighter actually is more active (15 minutes) than a rookie boxer (12 minutes). There is a difference in the cardio training, yes, but here it is: Avg. boxing workout: 15 min. jumping rope 3X3 rounds speed bag 3X3 rounds heavy bag 3X3 rounds focus mitts Sparring Avg. MMA workout: Morning: 15 min. jumping rope 3X3 rounds banana bag 3X3 rounds Thai pads Sparring Evening: 15 min. bodyweight exercises warmup 30 min. grappling technique training grappling sparring kettlebell workout MMA not only incorporates the cardio of boxing, but also the weight-training of wrestling. Because that's what MMA is: striking and grappling.

"It's just a flesh wound!" More power to the guy in whatever he wants to do in life, I applaud him for that but I really don't think the fight is fair to his opponent. I would not fight him.
