First Six notes of 'Happy Birthday' on trombone? Making a cake for my boyfriends birthday...?
I'm going to make my boyfriend a cake for his birthday, and I was going to turn it into a staff of music, but then I was feeling clever and I got the idea to make the notes I was going to put on it the first few notes of 'Happy Birthday'. He plays the trombone, so that would be best, but he's also a band director so really, anything will work. Thanks so much in advance!

That sounds great as it is. Honestly, he will care more about the effort you put into it and the little things you say and do more than actual presents. Just spending time together, having a romantic dinner and having awesome sex he would love. The other gifts are just an added bonus! I'm in pretty much the same situation (it's harder when you live with them, hey!) and if I was in his shoes I would think this is a great birthday. All the best!
