Lost Microsoft Office 2007 word document Help plz 10pts?
Ok I wrote an essay last night and it took over two hours. I have Microsoft Office 2007 and I KNOW FOR A FACT that I saved the document, it even had a name. Then the program unexpectedly closed and even though it was saved I could not find it. I used the search function but I could not find it, I looked in the recycle bin, and Recovery mode did not bring back the document it is as if it never existed. Please help!

Open up Word, and go to the Office Button (round button at the upper left corner).
You should see your document in the Recent Documents list.
If you hover your mouse over the document name, it will show the file location on your computer.
You can click on the document to open it up, and do a Save As to save it to a different location to where you can find it again.

First, make hidden file show up.
If in XP, use windows explorer, Tools > Folde Options > View > Show Hidden Files and Folder.
Then look in the directory where you supposed to save it... the file will start with curlybar followed by your file name. example:
~yourfilename.doc

Check your temp folder. C:\TEMP, C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\TEMP, C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Application Data\TEMP

Maybe you can try this way: Start-document- look at and maybe your file is in it.
