if they are prescribed to you, they come with dosages info, which is specfic for each person and condition, in that case if it was prescribed by a medical professional it should be fine to take, since the pharmacist filled the prescription and didn't give you any further advice. the typical dosage is from .05mg to 2.4mg. so its well within the range. I suppose you are taking this for Blood pressure?

0.3 mg per day ( 0.1 mg three times daily??). Or, 0.3 mg each dose? To start with 0.3 mg each dose right off the bat is quite a bit. If you have doubts get the MD to call in 0.1 mg tablets and check your blood pressure a couple of times daily as you increase the dose over the next few weeks. ). 0.1 mg three times daily is a normal starting dose for moderate hypertension. But, the other guy is correct in that 2.4 mg daily(in divided doses) is the maximum. Most people don't go that high and usually add a second agent with a different mechanism do decrease side effects from such a high dose.
