some one stole our trash can out side? how do i get another one?
i took out the trash can before going to work, and when i came home all that was left was the recycle ben, who do i call for another one? i keep trying to search on web sites to see how but it just keeps popping up dumpster diving theft. any information would be helpful?

That sucks! Just call your waste management company (the people that pick up your trash) and tell them you need another can.
Make sure to tell them somebody stole your other one or they may charge you, but they most likely will not, then they will deliver it to you.
Just google "your city waste management" where "your city" is of course...your city.

This may vary by situation, but this literally just happened to us last weekend. The trash company said I had to file a police report and fax them a copy before they could bring a new one. Of course, it was a Friday and I was too busy to bother, so I called the police Saturday, picked up the report (in person, with metered street parking. they don't fax them out. grr.) Monday, and had a new can Tuesday. Check with your trash company, but that's what I had to do. Very annoying.
