firstly as a prerequisite join some trainer who will prepare you for the pageant

there are many agencies that provide personal grooming and personality dev courses

look for modelling agencies

take up some ad campaign and modelling assignments to make yourself familiar with the lifestyle you wish to choose for yourself

if possible also learn ramp walking

what i mean is that its better if you do not go to the pagent as a beginner

you should have a little experience with you

like how to pose , how to walk the ramp .......how to talk and behave in such settings

then most importantly look after your fitness

you should have a flawless body , your bust and hips should measure equal and your waist be 10" less than them

go to a gym regularly and do yoga

i hope your hieght is above 5 6"

personality dev is really important as you need to shed of all the complexes

you should not be shy posing in a bikini in front of a thousand people

you should not goof up in the stage while speaking

for that self confidence is really important

personality development will enhance that and lead to personal growth

talk to yourself in the mirror daily and become extrovert

well now coming to the point

next year in february advertisements will come in the newspaper

apply for them and go for interviews

if you live in east or south zones you can even compete in regional rounds to come in the finals

you can even apply online

very importantly you need a portfolio asap

get that done from a reputed studio it may take quite a lot of money

your age needs to be between 18-25 and nationality indian

you need to attach a close up , mid lenght and full length photo with the form

dont worry there is a lot of time .........prepare yourself

your determination and self confidence will surely get you the crown
