Is there a kind way to tell someone who is attracted to you that they smell?
We're both adults, however I cannot get past this person's hygiene woos.
I'm not shallow, but will not be with someone who does not take care of themselves.
Should I just ignore them and move on to someone else?

Maybe you could get them some nice soap, shampoo, perfume, etc. for them. Say that you think someone smelling nice is a very attractive thing (while they're around, of course)
I think subtle hinting would probably be best. It's kind of a tricky situation, and if things get to complicated maybe you should just come out and tell them. It may seem harder at the time but it might be the easiest thing in the long term.
