Do you ever purposely scratch someone's car if they park on the yellow lines in a parking lot?

I have started doing this because I just think How hard is it to park between the lines? So, I key their car when I walk by, but how much trouble can I get into for this? Like a fine? or arrested? Or just warned to stop?

Update:

While I agree that people who can't park their car between the yellow lines are obviously idiots, I hardly think you need to go so far as to scratch their car! Is it really that big of a deal? If it's so bad, maybe you could just leave a note on their car or something?

  • Have you ever thought about this?

Some guy works hard to save enough money to buy a nice car. He lends the car to his brother, who is a complete idiot. Sure, he should not lend his car to such an idiot, but it's his brother, and family comes first. So.... The brother parks on the yellow line, like an idiot, and for that, you scratch a car he doesn't own. You punish the other guy, who did nothing wrong.

    Next scenario

I pull into a parking spot, but the person I am parking next to is over the line, crowding my space, so I have to be over a bit, so I can open my door. The other driver leaves. Now you come along, and see my car parked over the line, and scratch my car? Thanks so much for punishing me, for someone else's wrong-doing.

Now, if you get caught, you better hope it's the police that catch you, and not me. As hard as I work (15 hours a day, 6 days a week) to afford my car, I would punish you in ways beyond your wildest nightmares, for scratching my car. Really. I would tie you up, throw you in the trunk of my car, and drive off with you. You would be let out of the car 100 miles away, with no money, no ID, and very little clothes on. Lets just hope you had your good underwear on that day.

People who would even think about keying a car, let alone bragging about it here, are little cowards, who deserve the worst punishment possible. Maybe even a broken bone or two. Seriously.

but how much trouble can I get into for this?

Well if it's my car you scratch, you could start with broken fingers and go from there.

One thing that pisses me off even more than someone parking on the line is some little immature, inconsiderate, cry baby, little girl that wants to scratch someone's car because she is too scared to say anything to them and can't drive good enough to park in a spot that is 3 feet bigger than her car even with a car parked on the line.

You don't know why that car is parked on the line. Did it occur to you that maybe the car on the other side was parked on or over the line when that car parked there. No obviously not.

Best thing for you to do is stay out of the driver's seat until you grow up. You're much too immature to be driving.

    Ya you're a felon.

Even though people get angry at people who park on 2 spots, don't do that.

You are committing a crime and pain jobs can cost $6000.

You just cost your parents $6,000 if you get caught on camera.

This is a criminal act and is illegal.

If you do this to my car I will hunt you down and kill your whole family.

Don't do it it's illegal. And it costs a lot of money to fix that you don't have.

The police will come and treat you like any other felon, toss you to the ground, step on you and hand cuff you and haul you off to the prison right next to the rapists.

I carry a fat piece of chaulk and mark lines along the sides of the car, then label it "ASSHOLE PARKING".

It is a chargeable offense. I would lose no sleep reporting your actions to the police if I was to witness you doing that.

    You should be less immature.
