There are those who call themselves Witches in many old traditions. There are those who work with the Gods of the ancient Germanics. There are the Stregas of the Italian peninsula. There are those of Greece that study the old ways of that land and call themselves Witches.I've even met a few Christrains that called themselves Witches. Witch is a title not a religion.

There are literally thousands of paths a Witch can take, Celtic Tradition is only one of them... Don't believe too much of what you see on the TV, even documentaries are misleading as they are put together by bias people who just scratch the surface and then present to the viewer a very incomplete picture as to the real nature of anything to do with Witchcraft, which is The Craft of the Wise...

A Witch can also create their own unique Tradition/Path as I have done over many years...

I suggest you read some books on the subject. Pop Magick has a list of the top 10 books on on Witchcraft and Wicca:

    http://popmagick.com/top/top-10-wicca-books.html

Also, search through Real Magick ( http://www.realmagick.com/ ) for the useful articles on witchcraft, wicca, and paganism. For example the article:

The Rise Of The Rede by Shea Thomas

    http://www.realmagick.com/articles/67/1567.html

This article reveals that Gwen Thompson, who first published the Wiccan Rede, was a Celtic traditionalist.

You're talking about 'traditions', not clans. Go over to Witchvox and look through their list of most common traditions. Wicca is only one of them.
