Pasta is right, particularly is you add some red meat or tuna and also oatmeal is good in the morning before you head out.

Take some powerbars with you if you can, even Snickers will help keep your energy up all day.

We also hard boiled eggs and took them with us as snacks when we cycled from Sydney to Perth last month.

A big plate of pasta for the carbohydrates. Carbs break down slowly, and help provide energy for extended periods of time. It is referred to as carbo loading.

spaghetti. it will give you the most energy and even though it's not the healthiest food, you can burn off the carbs during your long bike ride anyway. anything that will fill you up is a good idea.

pasta pasta pasta!! you are going to need all of the carbs that you can get. no they wont cause you to get fat. carbs are natural energy that will help you through out your day. also get some granola bars as a snack on the bike ride.

Source(s): marathon runners, swimmers, most major athletes will eat alot of carbs the night before that big event!
