Is 'paints' a consumer or capital good? pls give ur logic or reasoning behind the answer

consumer goods r used once only.Though the benefit of paints continue to remain for more than one year it can not be called a capital goods.
Capital goods r those goods which r put to use for a longer period n used for production of goods.
Consumer goods may be used as raw materials for production of some goods.But capital goods r not used as raw materials.

paint is a consumer product. capital goods is the product which helps in the manufacturing of the other products and services.
