IE won't let me paste anything into webpages?

I have Internet Explorer, and everytime I try to take text from word document and paste into e-mail or on a forum, I get a pop-up saying my internet has stopped working. Why is it doing this? It was fine a couple of weeks ago, just started doing it this past week.

It's really frustrating me! I can copy from IE and past into word, but not opposite.

Emily

Update:

Ok, so I'm also unable to paste into a Word document, as well. Just found that out. It won't even allow me to paste one single letter....?? Really need some help and ideas why this is doing this?

Update 2:

I have firefox, but it won't work on my computer. I will try the restarting thing and see if that works, though ;)

Any other suggestions/ideas?

Let me guess, you have Windows Vista that did an automatic update on April 16th-ish. That's the problem. You can do a system restore to temporarily fix it but updates are important and so it's not a long term fix. I'm having the same problem as are many other people. I'm actually able to paste from Word to IE, but not from 3rd party programs to IE.

I think we just have to wait until Microsoft figures this out.

i'm utilising observe 2007. Pasting unexpectedly stopped for no reason. I did this and it worked on the instant: bypass to be conscious techniques>progressed>cut back, replica, Paste area> then verify the settings. Pasting between records while type definitions conflict>% "Use holiday spot varieties (Default)" All others could have "save source Formatting (Default)" chosen abode windows updates now and lower back do replace settings and mess issues up unexpectedly. i think of that's what occurred for me. (i'm a professional author so I save issues a undeniable way and don't replace my settings.)

My computer does that too with IE. So I downloaded FF and use that some times, but since I still prefer IE I just reopen it and it usually works. Restarting my computer helps too since I usually just put it in night mode...
