Is it alright...........?
to ask for a girl's number through one of her friends? For example, I like this girl "Megan" she has a friend, "Caroline". I'd really like to ask Megan out, but I don't know her personally. I'd like to ask her for her number through Caroline but Caroline and I are acquaintances. Is that ok or should I ask Megan personally. I can't see Megan face to face so it's probably going to be through Facebook.
Generally, how can I approach this situation?

It's kind of ok, but your chances of success with "Megan" are higher if you ask her personally.
Sometimes it comes across as weird when a guy (especially if you are only acquaintances) calls and he says he got your number from somebody else. If you're not careful it may come across as creepy.

Ask megan for her #. its kinda stalkerish if you just outta no where call her or txt her because you got her # from one of her friends

grow a pair and ask her yourself. it would probably creep her out more than anything if you got her number through her friend. if you can't ask her personally for her number, you don't need it.
