Everybody knows me as the "music man"... i was wondering...?

So I am really well known as being really into music. One of my friends called me a musical prodigy. I play five instruments (Guitar [6 years this august], Drums [one year this summer], Bass [kinda just picked up on along with the guitar], piano [about a year and 1/2], and the French horn [two years once school is out]) and I heard that the Violin is the hardest instrument to master. Since i want to be a very well rounded musician, should i buy a violin? if so, would http://band-orchestra.musiciansfriend.com/product/... be a good starter kit?

Well, keep in mind that it's only worth picking up a new instrument if you've comfortably mastered the others. I learned that the hard way.

But really, you've got a brass, percussion, two chordal instruments and one bass. So pick up either a string or maybe woodwind instrument, or a really obscure one.

If you're going to buy a violin, don't buy it off the internet! They are peculiar instruments, you've got to play it yourself to know if it's the right one. You're a muso, you know.

Also, for the record, musical prodigys don't advertise. It's fact, not virtue. ;)

Its great to learn all those instruments. But to master any one of them could take years . And remember do it cause ya love it not for the ego.

But hey if yer doin it for the nookie , stick with the guitar. The violin is never gonna get ya laid......lol

    Peace Donnie.
