Does/did anyone else have this problem when they first got glasses?

I recently got prescription glasses and I'm having a hard time getting used to them as I can see the reflection of my eyes looking back at me! LOL Not really the whole eye, but just a white reflection which I attribute to my eyes. I'm 45 and wearing glasses for the very first time in my life.

Update:

BTW they are progressive lenses.

That's normal. You will adjust and learn to ignore that.

I haven't worn new glasses in awhile, I'm a contact lenses type person. When I did have new glasses though, it gave me a headache and things were very reflective. It takes about a week to finally get used to them. I don't really like wearing glasses anymore because it feels heavy on my face.

yes. Now I only notice it under certain lighting conditions, and when i blink. 99.9% of the time, i never notice.

But I still am bothered by the inevitable pressure points. Luckily i also have contacts and usually wear those.

haha its like your watching yourself. I think that would drive me crazy. But I'm sure after awhile you will get used to them.
