Yeah tell me about it. my dad says the same.

He came into my room earlier exclaiming that what I was listening to was just a load of "cob-swaddled noise that was turning him do deaf" and then stormed out my room in an obvious dramatic manner muttering to himself about my insolence, but unfortunately tripped over the edge of my carpet on the way out and went flying into the bathroom door opposite my room. Poor man =/

I was playing parkway drive at the time, and i supose that counts as some pretty loud stuff :)

Thats funny because I grew up in the 70's and 80's and fully expected that kids of today would have nowhere to go for music to annoy parents after what we did in the 80's.

That being said their IS more noisy music... in fact there is music made of noise. The Japanese do lot's of "noise music". Very avant guard stuff. Look for "Japanese Noise Music". Some artists sure to drive your parents crazy are:

    Nerve Net Noise

    Merzbow

    Check out wikipedia:

If you want something with Words that will make any parent cringe... look for anything by GG Allin, GWAR, or The Mentors. Trust me.

You might also want to try some "Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel"... I recomend the album "NAIL" and the song "Agony"

Yeah my parents get mad if I play All That Remains or similar bands. Deathcore is noisiest for me. My friend listens to it and it doesn't sound like music at all to me just random noise and random yelling.

My dad is in love with country music so when he hears metal (yes, even 80s) he says it gives him a headache. To him, "all they do it bang on stuff to get sound."

Most screamo is really noisy. No one should take offense to that because some noise is good.

Yeah, my Dad has definitely said that about quite a few of the bands I listen to. And others, he claims, sound like people or possibly animals are being tortured. I generally makes me laugh.

  • hey Zach, not really anyway if he does it's cus he has a terrible music taste. My mom and I share the same musical interests recently I kinda got her hooked up with Iron Maiden stuff *does the victory dance* so it's all cool

  • Oh yeah my mom gave up years ago..she's the one that let my uncle dress me in band tee's and baby converses when I was little haha.

my dad on the other hand calls it "Satan's Music" ironically he owns every album of Pink Floyd, Boston, and Queen..

Hmm The Ramones seem to be rather noisy..and Black Flag
