How to save an .rtf in Word 2007 (NO .RTF OPTION IN 'SAVE AS TYPE' BOX)?

I need to save an file as an rtf on Word 2007. When I go to "Save As" and "Save As Type", the only available options are doc, docx, docm, dot, dotx, and dotm. There is an add-in for pdf and xps, but not for rtf. I searched the Microsoft site, and I couldn't find an rtf add-in. How can I save my file in rtf????

Update:

Trust me, it is not there.

Yes, I have tried there is none.

Maybe you can copy the content to the Microsoft Wordpad. Then click save. You can have your file in RTF format.

A little silly menthod:). Hope helps!

Try going File: Save As: and then type the name of the file, and at then end type in .rtf

Under file type, leave it as a word doc when you do this and see if it works. I think it will.

Look for Rich Text Format. Not sure why you wouldn't have it there to select.
