Have you ever read a more lucid assessment of the terrifying swine flu crisis?
An answer to a question I posted earlier today:
"The current economic crisis is caused by people worshipping money more than God, so God is destroying the world with what it loves most-money. The swine flu will cost millions, and if it mutates, will be worse than the flu of 1918, if the world does not recogonise this, and continues with corruption, injustice etc, then you will most probably die."

Have you heard that in Israel you have to call it Mexican flu, because catching Swine flu would not be kosher? I wish I was making that up!
That answer you quote puts me in mind of the American politician / preacher who said the New Orleans flood was punishment on all the gays that lived there!
It takes a strange mindset to worship a murdering god, but some people seem to get joy from the thought. Sad.

If the government were to have a national shut down like in Mexico then people might need several days food. Also Panic Buying: Even rumours of Swine Flu getting bad could prompt panic buying. An appearance that shops are running short of stock would also likely make panic buying worse.

ight 60 people have it in the U.S out of a population of 300 million, and one person has died, 12,000 people die of the normal flu in the UK every year. I'm not saying it's not something to worry about but the hysteria in the press is all to make money a pandemic just means a new disease that spreads around the world it doesn't mean millions of people are going to die.
also 159 people have died in Mexico out of 1,500 people who have officially got the virus and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if alot more people have it in Mexico. it's not good and i feel sorry for the people who have died but 159 out of 1,500 wouldn't be that alarming even if they had the normal flu
so at present I'm not to worried and no one should be until the mortality rate of this virus is say 5-20% between the ages of 20-30 years because the normal flu which happens every flu season has a mortality rate of 2% and typically kills the very young and very old.

So in short, he's saying if we all get down on our knees to God, the Swine Flu would just go away?
What is with these religious nutters, who think that if they just portray God as a tyrant we'll suddenly want a relationship with him?
They are either incredibly manipulative, or else what Promethus said.

Wow the stupidity around here never ceases to amaze me.
I am beginning to believe that there will be plenty of innocent people that dont worship money that will be affected by this flu.
Though I guess I will wait until I hear for sure if it is going to become a major epidemic before I panic too much.
Have a good one!!

You like many, don't like to hear the truth. God is not responsible for the evil within this world, it is man made, as is the economic crisis which originated in America from greed of money, as is the Swine Flu, which also originated in America from cutting costs by seeking profits within a poorer country.

Oh, there's a much more terrifyingly lucid assessment going around that that. After describing some particularly nasty afflictions (affecting a third of mankind) it adds, "The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshipping demons, and idols... Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their fornication or their thefts."
I'd better not tell you where the full account is written, otherwise you might not sleep terribly well at night. And we can't have that, can we?

Oh, such wisdom! Such an intellect! It's awesome, isn't it? I wonder if the answer came from a fundie clown called "Live 4 jesus" who haunts these parts.
He was the only person, as far as I can see, to actually work out that this swine flu hit Kansas first in the US because their school system started teaching evolution (AAAAGH!! Whatever next? Teaching mathematics possibly?) and this is his god's way of punishing kansas. You don't believe such wisdom can exist in a mere mortal? Here's a link: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq...
This answer is genius, pure genius and I thank you for bringing it to our attention. Thanks

Its got nothing to do with God. Its about humans and their greed, their desires. its causality, nothing more and nothing less.
If people want to borrow and spend more than they can afford, sooner or later the debts have to be paid, I fail to see what God has to do with it, the sooner people wake up and realize they have to take personal responsibilities for their lives and not pass the buck on to God, the better the world will be.
Te main teachings of Jesus were saving people from Ignorance, a lesson that most have failed to accept, let alone realize.
Ignorance leads to sin, the cause and affect serves it own rewards.

What's funny is that no one realizes that Tamiflu is an effective treatment - the swine flu is not going to wipe out the human race.
