Would you ever stop listening to a song, because it makes you feel upset?

I would, Pulp - Disco 2000, it always makes me feel upset, and sad. Just the title, Disco 2000! Just listen to the lyrics! Its got stuff in like marriage, and not seeing people again. Not that I don't want to get married one day, I would love to one day.. I just hate thinking about the future.

Ahh, the grammatics are coming to save me now.

For me, it has never been about a songs lyrics, or the beat. Just the memories that accompany that song. Like back in the day when **** was good between all my old friends we would go to football games and stuff and the same song would come on every time. I just cannot heat that song now...it just makes me feel bad...I have even stopped wearing my favorite perfume because of the memories it brings back that I don't care to remember.

haha yeah, i'm always telling people they're wrong. think of me as the guy who doesn't start the argument, but brings it to a climax by saying an unpopular view in a totally logical way which pisses people off. MQ: Even tho we're talking R&P i hafta say the hip hop song Freedom of Speech by Immortal Technique cuz its directly related. a rock/metal song that could match is Hook in Mouth by Megadeth, a song criticizing the PMRC, the group that's responsible for the parental advisory sticker on albums MQ2: Usually its a fight between Metallica and Megadeth fans who say the other band sucks. Usually i'm the Devil's Advocate and apparently that's wrong. BA: Sour Cream & Onion BA2: White BA3: Beer (of the root orient) BA4: It was like an hour ago BA5: rite now? warm. BA6: my room

Yep. Here are the song's I can't even bare to listen to:

The Smiths/Morrissey - There is a light that never goes out

The Beatles - And I love her

The Beatles - Just to dance with you

counting crows - Accidentally in love

    Uncle Kracker - Follow me

    Boxcar Racer - There is

They are the songs that remind me of my soulmate that I loved and lost. After 4 months, it still kills me to listen to them.

Its painfully annoying, seeing as I adore the Beatles.

Yesh, I looked up some songs by the Used because I have one of their albums and I really like it, and I found Let it Bleed and Box full Of Sharp Objects. I really liked both songs so I listened to them again and again, but they were kind of making self harm seem good and eventually it got in my brain and really messed me up and made me think about cutting more and more, it really started to bother me...so I dont listen to those songs much anymore :|

Nope I wouldn't. Music is expression. I love the feeling of relating to a song. Even if it makes you upset, it shows you're attatchment to it which is good.

Source(s): Music is my #1 love.

Usually it's because the song reminds me of a person I don't want to be thinking about.
