what do republicans think of Arlen Specter switching parties?

you'll notice most the answers from that crowd will all be "he wasn't a true conservative and he's why all the bad things are happening"

he's called a wh0re by that crowd - and he is the dudes been in comcasts back pocket - but were they saying this about him 2 days ago? no

Six weeks ago he was telling reporters that he would never switch parties then he saw that the people in PA was behind his opponent and so he is just looking out for Arlen. Looking at his record over the last few years I think it's the Republicans who will say ha-ha

It's only "ha-ha" to people who don't follow politics...then read a headline like "Republican switches to Democrats".

If you followed the news you'd know Specter was having disagreement and problems with his party for a while. Neither were happy being together.

he's an opportunist. he's bailing out of the sinking Democratic party. it incredibly is time back to bounce the folk back to the Republicans. The Democrats had their shot back at draining us for their socialist entitlements and get greater administration of our agencies and assets. Now it incredibly is the Republicans turn back to empty us greater for militia and different protection, and to press greater administration over our very own lives.

Just remember he didn't switch due to belief.. he switched because he betrayed the people who voted for him and he saw the polls that showed he had no chance in the Republican primaries.

He fits the DNC perfectly.. all he cares about is personal political power.

I think it is good for republicans long term. If the dems are at 60 seats, they will be responsbile for EVERYTHING that happens. And that cant be good for liberalism, which relies on blaming others and skirting responsibility.

Hurray he will fit right in talking about holding a snake to your breast.

If you think we're upset about it, you're SADLY mistaken. We are popping the champagne corks over his leaving. The man was a millstone around our neck, and now he is your millstone. At long last we are rid of him. Cant say I'm surprised either as he was a Democrat BEFORE he changed over to Republican.

I dont do party siding but I believe he is a man that is going to get a lot of criticism all the way around and hes brave for making this choice in this time. At least hes being true to himself and not caring what the backlash is.
