I am working at a bank now in the mortgage loans department doing some loss mit work, but will be getting laid off in August as my company is moving my job to Plano TX. Since that is not something I am interested in doing, I am exploring new career opportunities. New York Life contacted me about interviewing for an Agent's position, but I have no idea what that means. Can anyone help me?

I swear to God, I will never vote for any democrat ever again, if they can't pass health care reform with a public option.

I mean I agree with them in a lot of the issues, but they have no spine. They are in power, and they still won't get universal healhcare? I think if you believe in something and you don't fight for it just to saty in power, then you don't deserve my vote to stay in power

because you don't want the government making health care decisions. Are you seriously more comfortable with fat CEO's who are in it for the money to make those decisions?

I am asking because there was a hearing last week where CEO's of health care companies when questioned about suspending coverage for people who had been customers for years because they got sick, were questioned if they would stop that practice. All of them under oath said "NO"

Isn't that why we need a public health care option? Are you gonna wait for your own health care company to suspend your own coverage to support universal healthcare?

I mean, if it gives people freedom of religion, and god is a jealous god, doesn't that mean that our forefathers were giving god the finger? I mean those people with the golden calf in the old testament would have been accepted in the U.S. and protected from nut jobs like Moses and his jealous god

I mean we are getting to be a little too rational to still believe in an invisible man in the sky, are we not?

The president says that a woman and her doctor are the most qualified people to make a choice on abortion, not the government, but if that is the case then how come the government is qualified to tell people who they can marry?

I am a liberal who voted for the president, and I support most of his stances.. but he is wrong on gay marriage

I am not saying churches should marry gay people if they oppose it, but the government is not a church or backed by any church. If there trully is a separation between church and state, then why should it be illegal for 2 people who love each other and who want to spend the rest of their lives together to join in matrimony.

I hear the word tradition thrown a lot, but just because something is a tradition does not mean it is right. In Biblical times it was a tradition to sell your first born daughter to slavery and kill your own child if they were brats. It was a tradition to burn suspected witches alive. Slavery was a tradition in this country until it was abolished, if people would have voted on it it would still be part of the American way of life, because slaves would have never been given the right to vote.

I mean if you read history, Taxes under President Eisenhower for the top earners was 90%, and he was a Republican. Was Eisenhower a socialist or fiscally responsible?

I mean, where are the priorities? Republicans have actually convinced poor uninsured conservative people, that the government would take their choice of doctor away... I say, at least you will have a doctor.

On the other hand, they all are ok when the government handles the death penalty, war, marriage, postal service, road maintenance, schools. Hey if you are a conservative and you don't trust the government with the public school system, then by all means take your kids out of it, send them to private schools. What? Can't afford that? Then home school them. So what if you are not a good teacher? McDonald's has to get future employees one way or another

I mean, you hear them say ll thse crazy thigs about Obama, and then they hear about the money spent on security and they have a fit...

should I fake believing in god just to be with her? I mean I really want to be with her, but even if I say I believe in god I won't. What should I do?

I mean I have heard that opposing gay marriage is the "will of the people", but if we went with the will of the people instead of what's right, wouldn't we still have segregation, slavery and things like that?
