is President Obama's position on gay marriage hypocritical considering his position on choice?

The president says that a woman and her doctor are the most qualified people to make a choice on abortion, not the government, but if that is the case then how come the government is qualified to tell people who they can marry?

I am a liberal who voted for the president, and I support most of his stances.. but he is wrong on gay marriage

    Absolutely.

Moltar, people would be more open to "pro-life" arguments if they included pro QUALITY of life arguments.

Its pretty sad that "pro-life" ends at birth for most.

He does not believe in gay marriage, but yes he supports it!

He would've voted no on prop 8, as he said. He belives gays should be allowed rights, he just does not believe in the idea. There's a big difference.

He supported gay marriage as a Senator. He changed his mind when he ran for president purely on political considerations.

If only we could ask a fetus whether or not it wants to be born.

Source(s): Phil - That's a ridiculous assertion. My son is adopted. There are waiting lists of adoptive parents. Get a clue.
