should religion be in the same category as mythology?

I mean we are getting to be a little too rational to still believe in an invisible man in the sky, are we not?

Religion was made to instill law and order among fellow beings, not to entertain them.

You must be taking about The religious books which are filled of crap.

And obviously books as Bible and Gita fall in mythology.

    No.

Mythology is a set of stories that are fictional, in which gods play major roles.

In a sense, mythologies are cosmic epics.

Religion is an organized spiritual journey, and the gods are not required to go on this journey. Many religions lack a mythology.

The invisible man lives inside of us. Listening to us think.

Religion is the practices and how they influence life, while mythology is the stories. Religion has far too much to do with laws and life to be lumped anywhere but in it's own section.
