If President Obama is a socialist for wanting to raise top earner's txes to 39% what does that make Eisenhower?
I mean if you read history, Taxes under President Eisenhower for the top earners was 90%, and he was a Republican. Was Eisenhower a socialist or fiscally responsible?
In fact Taxes for the rich were higher under Reagan and Nixon as well
we Eisenhower did fight not to reduce taxes... see when we have a war, we kinda have to pay for it, and the Geneal knew that. By the way, if you look at the graph, everytime we reduced taxs we had a recession, in the 20's case a depression

None of them raised the income tax, Obama is. You would be better off arguing why didn't Eisenhower lower the tax rates he inherited from Democrats like Reagan did.

Ike is long dead. He did not do much as president, after getting the Interstate system going.
No one paid 90% of income to the IRS. It was a joke. There were so many tax brackets and so many deductions that the top earners usually avoided paying taxes altogether.

Well then you just made the Republicans argument that Comrade Obama lied and is going to take care of his rich friends.

Eisenhower inherited that rate from Truman (actually FDR is the real culprit, since he started that 90% sh*t) he didn't set it himself.
