Is everyone happy to see Obama is finally addressing the high gas prices?
$5.00, here we come.
7 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDo you think Trayvon's parents will copyright his Twitter name too?
Since they're looking to make a few bucks by trademarking "I Am Trayvon" and "Justice For Trayvon", why don't they also trademark "NO_LIMIT_NI66A"? That would make a very nice
t-shirt for the upcoming riots.
9 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoDoes this alter the whole Zimmerman shooting case?
It does appear that Trayvon did, in fact, initiate the altercation and cause injury to Zimmerman. This would explain why the police did apply the Florida self-defense law to the case. Unless some other witness comes forward to contradict this account, it's going to be very difficult to charge Zimmerman with anything.
10 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoShould the Republicans be blasting the airwaves and the internet with this for the remainder of the campaign?
"President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility."
http://news.yahoo.com/president-obama-asks-medvede...
This is a gigantic mistake by Obama. It basically gives the Republicans the ammunition they need to let the people know that Obama will not govern from the middle in his next term (if re-elected), but will veer sharply to the left and become the President that we have been warned of.
5 AnswersElections9 years agoIs blaming bullying for murderous behavior kind of like blaming rain for flooding?
Both are simply naturally occurring things. Some people will always be subject to bullying. You can fight it all you want, you can ban it, you can educate people about it, but, just like racism, hate, and greed, it will always be part of the underbelly of humanity.
That said, isn't using bullying as an excuse for heinous behavior an enabling device for future similar episodes?
7 AnswersGovernment9 years agoIs the world scheduled to end at 11:11 this morning, or 11:11 tonight?
I need to know what to plan for dinner if it's going to be tonight. Hate to be hungry when the world ends.
9 AnswersOther - News & Events10 years agoShouldn't Democrats be defending Cain in this latest smear campaign?
After all, it's only about sex, right?
Besides the fact that it is a baseless accusation based on innuendo and rumor.
9 AnswersElections10 years agoIf the OWS crowd is 99% of the population?
then why aren't there more of them protesting? We had about 10 times the number of people locally protesting to support Gibson guitars in their fight against the Obama administration's heavy-handed tactics than we did for the OWS protest at the capital this weekend.
Could it be that they have it backwards; that they are the 1 percenters and the other 99 percent just thinks they're a bunch of malcontents and old hippies?
7 AnswersGovernment10 years agoAre the people in the Wall Street protests anything other than?
the normal group of anarchists and hippies who violently protest the WTO and G20 meetings, mixed with some college kids who are upset because they can't find management positions as soon as they graduate and a few union thugs mad because unions are on the decline?
Why should any "normal" person think any ground swell of support will grow for this group?
5 AnswersCivic Participation10 years agoIf Bush had done this, would liberals be screaming for impeachment hearings to begin immediately?
http://news.yahoo.com/secret-panel-put-americans-k...
My personal opinion is that this is a case of good riddance, but honestly, if George Bush had instituted a program like this and it became public, the MSM and left wingers would be in full apoplexy mode calling for his impeachment. Yet this seems to be getting glossed over right now. I see Ron Paul made some comments about it, but nothing he says is taken very seriously. It just surprises me (not really) that no Democrats or liberals have taken the administration to task for outright assasinations of American citizens.
5 AnswersGovernment10 years agoAs we get closer to 9/11, will the number?
of Truthers and conspiracy nuts asking if 9/11 was an inside job rise in an exponential or linear progression?
Seems to be no shortage of them today.
4 AnswersOther - News & Events10 years agoIf the USA banned all drive-throughs, how much oil would it save and how much impact would it have?
on "climate change"?
The amount of greenhouse gases and particulates spewed by cars idling in McDonalds alone must be in the megatons. Would it be a good idea just to ban all drive-through businesses?
As a side benefit, how much thinner would the overall population get if they had to burn a couple of calories to go in and get their supersized Big Mac meals?
9 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoIf Obama and the UN had just left it to France to run the show in Libya?
would the French have already surrendered Marseille, Montpelier, and Toulon?

4 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhy is the FDA creating monopolies in circumstances like this?
They've taken a drug that was first introduced in 1956, "approved" it, and given one company exclusive rights to make it. As a result, the cost for this drug, which is used to prevent premature births and has been in use for years, has risen from 10 to 20 dollars, to 1500 dollars PER DOSE.
This would seem to be yet another clear and graphic illustration why Republicans look at the FDA as a prime place to start cutting the budget.
3 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoHow's this for a good way to fix SSN?
I sign a form now saying I give up all my future claims against the system. I forfeit any monies I have paid in over the last 30 years or so, which is a pretty sizable chunk of money. I don't pay any more Social Security Tax, and my employer adds what they paid into the system to my check. Then I am completely responsible for my own retirement when that day comes, posing no burden on the government or the taxpayers any more.
How about that for a win/win solution?
7 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoHonestly, did or did not those Egyptians charging the crowds on camels yesterday?
basically reinforce the stereotypes widely held by Westerners about Middle Easterners?
4 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoIs it ironic that the left wing seems to be supporting the rioters and protestors in Egypt?
Especially when the main driving organization behind the protestors is the Muslim Brotherhood? Or do left-wingers just support any group of protestors as a matter of course, regardless of the fact that they might actually be religious fundamentalists who would install a theological-based government in Egypt if they should win?
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDon't the taxpayers already pay for Congressmans' medical and dental care?
So why is it that Dennis Kucinich is suing the cafeteria in the Capitol because he cracked a tooth on an olive pit for $150,000 in "damages"? How much does fixing a cracked tooth cost, and how much did he actually pay? Isn't that what "damages" consists of?
Could it be he's just another parasitic lawyer, one of hundreds in Congress, bilking the system for whatever he can get out of it?
