Are the people in the Wall Street protests anything other than?

the normal group of anarchists and hippies who violently protest the WTO and G20 meetings, mixed with some college kids who are upset because they can't find management positions as soon as they graduate and a few union thugs mad because unions are on the decline?

Why should any "normal" person think any ground swell of support will grow for this group?

Update:

According to that wiki page, I'm dead on the money.

Same miscreants. You'll see them at every stinking rally where commies, socialists, hippies, and other cretins are expected to be. They are leeches on the society that they want to overthrow, and would be the first to suppress others "rights" as soon as they got control. They are hypocrites of the highest order and useful idiots. Tools of the Obamanation. Why aren't they protesting George Soros, (currently worth several BILLION)? Because he's one of their puppet-masters...that's why.

There is one simply overriding goal of the Occupy Wall Street protests, as spelled out clearly on the Wikipedia page on the subject: "Separate money from politics". It's that simple.

We don't want corporations given the rights of people, we don't want lobbyists influencing lawmakers, we must stop the military-industrial complex, along with eliminating many other examples of corruption, undue, unfair and surreptitious influence on the people, the government, and the economy.
