how much money would we get to pay the deficit if we taxed churches?

it seems like no politician ever bring that up, but how much could we make if we did?

    we should just charge them property taxes and 100% on what they pay their employees.

    its called separation of church and state. The whole reason for this is because the Churches in England started holding too much political power. Which is why most of the origional colonists broke away from the church of england to come to the new world to begin with.

    You want another reason that church and state needs be separate? Look at the Salem Witch trials. THAT was all politics.
