Did they really thing that hating people based on color of the skin, sexual preerence orcountry of origin would keep them in power forever?

They are in ICU, on life support.

No - But they need to revise their tactics as they have become too negative and combative in their politics. The majority of the American public has become turned off with this as shown by the last elections.

They are not dead, just demoralized and in need of a good Conservative leader which they haven't had since Reagan. The core principles of the Republican party are still, less government, lower taxes for all Americans, and love of God ,Family and doing what's right when no one is looking. Oh, and calling Evil what it is when you see it. So, all the name calling from the Liberal, Loonie left should never detour anyone that recognizes the Truth because the Truth will set you free.

OH, that's right, you know every republican on this earth. Just like every democrat is a baby killer.

I was actually making a point. I don't think that every democrat is a baby killer. Just like every republican does not hate based on the color of the skin, sexual preference, etc .....

Stop judging people, listen to people once in awhile and you might actually learn something.

It's not dead. I love how everyone thinks a party that loses power is going to die, especially when you grossly undermine the party's values.

The Republican Party isn't dead. Conservatives aren't dead.

In a few years (who knows how many), the Democrats will lose their majority status and the cycle will continue.

They need to reach out to different segments of the population. If they do not, then they're going to continue to lose support from within their own party.

No, it's just that their cycle finished and it is now time for the Democratic Party.

    No.

And the republican party is not about hating people. It is a myth that the typical Republican has a white hooded robe in his closet.

And many Repbulicans are not against gays. Haven't you heard of the Log Cabin Republicans?

And many Republicans are immigrants. The most famous one is the governor of California.

I agree with you and they need to get over themselves and move on in a positive direction.

The Republican Party is not dead. It has just been knocked down. I hope when they regroup they look back and understand hate and intolerance won't give them power.

GOP will be back in 2012 after this country is attacked again because of Obama's policies. If there is no attack (due to luck) then it may be 2016. Once all those young college kids start working, they will realize how much taxes are, and I am sure they will vote right next time.

After watching those Prop 8 Protesters attack an old lady at a church, I realize how the left wing loons are the true hate mongers.
