Do you ALWAYS dot your "i" 's and cross your "t" 's?
I know it's a dumb question but I work in an place where people have to fill out paper work all the time and I am just surprised to see how many people do NOT dot and cross, LOL! I just wonder why? Are they too tired? In a hurry? Lazy? Just don't care? Maybe they just forget? Or maybe they're distracted? Or maybe they think that they DID dot and cross? Anyhow, there's really no right or wrong answer here, I was just curious :)

Yes I dot my "i" s and cross my "t's". I have always been pretty meticulous about my handwriting and English. I am a retired teacher and also can still teach college English, so I need to teach properly.
I think most people are in a hurry or some don't care ,but many potential bosses may look out for these things. English is a skill and also proper wording, that we must all learn and use the rest of our lives.
Pam, I am old school too where neatness counted and so did penmanship. I remember in grade school when my paper was shown to other classes as an example of good penmanship. I felt proud. I tutor and I see the terrible penmanship today. I think it needs to be a class today but computers have taken much of that away.

I always dot my i's and cross my t's. I'm from the old school and was taught penmanship. Kids now a days aren't taught penmanship in school anymore. The basics of forming letters are taught but neatness is out the window. You can barely read both of my son's handwriting. Back when I was in school you actually received a grade for handwriting. I can honestly say people just don't care!

I always do. But if the people you work with have to fill out that much paperwork then their hands might get tired and any shortcut can be a relief.

Yes. I always do. (By the way, I would rather someone not dot their "i"'s rather than dot them with a big circle or heart. That bugs me)

I don't always dot my "i"'s but I always cross my "t"'s. It's not a "t" until it's crossed, right?
