For the dog pillow? I would pass completely. For a darlek pillow I might spend 20 dollars for myself or a bit more if it was a gift for a friend.
Custom nerd items go for more of a premium. Unfortunately it's also a much smaller market than the world of dog-pillow buyers.
Other posters have suggested checking into Etsy to get a price point for your items and I certainly agree.
Also as entertaining as it is to have customers pick out exactly what they want on a pillow, not everyone is so inclined. Almost a majority of folks don't know exactly what they would put on a pillow like this. Offering potential designs or finished products may net you more orders. Not everyone has the crafty thought process to come up with their own plan, but they know when something's amazing and will buy it.
Source(s): I make nerd amigurumi and similar items. No one knows what they want when I ask, but once I show them an example of what can be done POOF everyone has an idea. - katie-bugLv 51 decade ago
because I'm a crafty person and can embroider, I wouldn't buy them. Also due to the economy, many people have to scale down on luxury items, such as customizable pillows. Like the others said, look up other similar items and price them accordingly. For the one with the dog, you could make a lot of different breeds and sell them at craft shows, pet shows, donate a few to dog rescue or humane society benefit events, just to get your name out there. I know a lot of people who spend tons of money for custom dog stuff!

just from personal taste i would only buy the first one, the one with the dog. But both pillows are excellent made! Id pay probably between 20 to 100 for it, depending on if a famous company made them or a private person, and the exact material!

From what I could see in the pics...
GREAT WORK!
It's definitely marketable. You should check out some sales sites like Etsy.com and Ebay to get a price point. Etsy would be a better site to check because they sell hand crafted items that are new v/s Ebay's usually used items.
