Alltel/Verizon Cell Phones?

Okay, so I have a verizon cell phone. I currently have an Alltel phone with Alltel service. Now that Alltel is owned by Verizon, can I use my Verizon phone with my Alltel service???

    i think that you can but you would need to do some programming or something like that.CALL ALLTEL AND ASK I GUESS?
