why doesn't my Windows Movie Maker work?
dunno it doesn't. when I try to import any videos into the program, it says it can't download the codecs necessary. I did everything it asked and I still can't import anything and it doesn't download any codec it should.

Windows movie maker can Support to import only pure Avi / MP3 / wmv / more... files.
at the same it doesn't support the Avi with DivX Files.
So
i think you are using DivX encoded Avi file. thats why it didn't support.
