May i acknowledge that the earth is only one and

we practically have always been the citizen of it.Sadly,

we are divided by politic, history and events.

The cultures are then uprooted form the way of life,

different opportunities of resources of each and every

species, but in reality,we are all from the same source and

are rowing in the same boat heading to the same destiny.

We are shaped by the past, but the past belongs to yesterday.

Now we can shape our future.

My answer is yes,it could be true.

I agree. Unless you are studying Law, Medicine, or sometimes, maybe, Business. If you are just taking something else and at a university that is not even Ivy League, in my opinion and vast experience, it is better to take a crash computer course, get that typing speed way up, I type 100 wpm, and get a job in a good company. A Degree is like a High School Diploma. If you dont have a High School Diploma, the world thinks you are stupid, but really you probably did not have a stable family life or an adult that cared about you. But you still need that piece of paper. Go to night school and get the degree, then. Take 2 courses a year and 1 in summer, that is what I did. I got a 3 year BA in 6 years, that was 15 years ago. On my resume, I put BA in Psychology, I dont even mention night school and no one asks. Not that I am ashamed, it is just unnecessary filler. Now a days, anyone can get a degree, they have opened it up to all, the rich, the poor, the bright, the mediocre and the just plain stupid. But a Degree is necessary in the game of life, so get one. You likely will not make any more money with one. I personally know many people with degrees making much less than our highly paid bus drivers. Finish it up, you are there now. But unless you are in the sciences, or the professions, expect very little benefit from it. It might help you get a job, but since most people have one, it just means employers wont screen you out. That's life! Adolescent hopes and dreams dont usually bear up. Its all about playing the game. You will be fine. Get good marks. Find a nice soulmate, get a job, buy a house, and have some lovely kids. That's life!! Bye bye dreams and hello real world.

It may be true and because I love the idea (and the evolved mindset behind it) I hope it will happen in the not too distant future.

We are all earthlings (unless we have some incognito visitors among us) but it seems that most of us think of ourselves as proprietors of relatively tiny sections of the planet surface, spaces we are willing to hold onto at all costs - including the ultimate cost to so many of our fellow earthlings.

The world is getting smaller and smaller in that we communicate far more easily than before, we can travel easily, intermingle, find out more, and we are all too slowly coming around to the notion that we need to cooperate to not only survive but to thrive.

I cannot be completely happy while I am aware that others are struggling to merely live.

The sooner we have a United Earth the better. We urgently need to start managing the whole planet for the benefit of all. Perhaps visitors from elsewhere could prompt us in that direction?

Do I think this sort of development is just around the corner?

    Sadly, no.

I know quite a few university professors. Few of them have ever lived in the real world. They've been in one kind of educational establishment or other since the age of 5 and they have little idea what life is like outside.

We are now citizens of the earth. And all nation meet as one in a net. Making a distance a thread away.

    communication and seeing each other.

so I believe, we are citizens of the earth.

I would tend to agree with that but possibly not in our lifetime.

With such a huge influx of foreign nationals and western cultures moving into almost all european countries I can foresee a time when this will eventually happen.

    he is right!

    all are humans.

internet and travel facilities made world as one.

meeting like minded people together made it to spread the message of World as one.

    hence it is true.

i do have the same concept of world government.

it can be materialised through internet where a web page can be developed with people of all countries to be involed with the mission.

    just like yahoo!

I think there will be 2 type of citizens...Citizen of Earth and Citizen of USA.

  • if it happens whole heartily, that day will be the finest beginning day on earth in a happy journey on trans humanism.
