Do you believe the reason we do not shut the border for swine flu is because if they show they can do it?

the public will demand the border stay closed to drug trafficking and illegals??

No. It's because the virus is already here and will continue to spread among the population without further influx from Mexico. The disruption of commerce and business due to a border closing will cause more problems and do nothing to control the spread of the flu.

The border is 1969 miles. There's no way to just close it, unless we build a massive wall that would bankrupt our country. Even then, people can fly over it. Which is what many of the people who are bringing back swine flu have done.

Closing the border would be like closing the barn door after the horse has gotten out.

It would be another economic disaster as well.

Definitely NOT the answer to the flu epidemic.

The flu is airborne, just like any other illness.

Plus you can catch it by handling money.

Why spend the money to build another Berlin Wall?

Yep, if they prove it once, it would be expected to stay closed ... with the exception of designated crossing locations.

    It's called, "PRECEDENCE"
