Would a freshwater angelfish be able to live in the same tank as....?

A Rainbow shark or a red fin shark. Thanks. And yes the tank is big enough.

I have kept Angels and Red-Tailed Sharks together. I currently have a 29 gallon tank with more than one Angel and the shark. The sharks usually swim around the back portions of the tank. The Angels stick more toward the front (where they can see people who can feed them, and beg for food). Eventually, the shark may get larger and more aggressive with any fish that are in the tank. They are fine for quite awhile, but sometimes as they mature they get more protective of their own area. But, until then, you can enjoy all of them.

If the tank has a depth of 24" and is 30/40 gallons there'd be no problem.

Yup, but only if by big enough, you mean at least 55-gallons.
