What is the best bank in the state of New York?
I just moved here from CA and am not familiar with banks here. I'm looking for one that has great online banking and features and many locations. Which one has it?

If you are in NYC or anywhere in the NY metro area its definately Chase. There is a branch every few blocks and all the Duane Reade drugstores have Chase ATMS. There is even a Chase ATM in my apartment building.

they all really suck, because there are so many restrictions and the interest is so lousy. but the largest original NY based banks that are left are Chase and Citi. if you banked with a large bank back in CA like BofA, then you don't need to change. see if there's any NY branch of your old bank first.
what i do is to have a couple of accounts at really small banks and link them to ING. the largest bank i bank with is Sovereign, only because it took over the Independence branch that's the closest walk to me. i can get cash at the bank and at any CVS drugstore, and i use the debit card at other times. see what works for you.
