Can you solve this sociological conundrum? how can sociologists swear to tell the truth, the whole truth etc?

If, as sociologists, we use the concept of social knowledge as only being falsifiable, never verifiable, and we also use different perspectives to interpret the social world, then what should we do if we ever have to take the oath of truthfulness in a court of law?

nb this isnt a class project - just a puzzle that's perplexed me for some time.

Update:

Mr Colletti , useful illustrations of the point of the question but what are we to do if we get to court?

Three (maybe 4) blind men came across an elephant. The one who touched the body thought it was a hill. Another touched the trunk and was sure it was a snake. Another blind man touched the leg and thought it the trunk of a tree. When they describe their encounters, all truly believe that their encounter was factual and no one was truly lying. Perception is all we can rely on as the truth. There is never an ultimate or complete truth. Look at the movie, 12 Angry Men. All but one person thought the person on trial was guilty. They were sure of it. But by the end of the movie, the holdout changed everybodies perception of what they believed was true and the person on trial was freed.

whoever it is, it is the truth as they believe it to be.

just like they say about lie detectors, it isn't a lie if you believe it. doesn't matter if its right, wrong, whatever.
