A dream I had a few days ago?

Question

I had this dream a couple days ago. What's weird is I've dreamt of the beginning (just the beginning) once before, a couple of years ago. 

There is an old women, walking her Labrador. She is thinking about the city in which she lives. She's thinking "But not all of it is good" (exact words) as she comes into a more ghetto (sorry for the stereotype)-looking area. (<that was the beginning) The setting is kind of grey and cloudy. Then suddenly this old women is on a roof. There are these three Maori-looking kids, that look about 10-13 years old. They are just hanging around together, but they seem very troubled over their lives (not sure how I know this, just do). One of them comes up to the lady and tries to argue, but the lady can see that these three kids are putting up barriers around themselves, so nobody comes close. Then the kid says, "Give us your labrador" or something, and the women suddenly notices another labrador, on the floor near the other two kids. It's thin, mangy and looks half-dead. The lady rushes over and cries, "Please can we swap" and I see in the dream the two labs side by side. One pale white and the other a yellow. 

Then the dream switches to this enclosed area. There's this huge cage with all these dogs in it, like, HEAPS of dogs. It looks like a pound. I'm there, as me, and there is also my older brother and I think my other brother and my mom, but I can clearly remember my older brother. The cage door opens and all the dogs come rushing out. I remember thinking to myself, theres so many dogs.

Any idea what this could mean?

well i would have to say that when you have a dream with only a few other people it's representing you somehow. so maybe your have trouble with your life and maybe something you have way back there in your sub-conscience that you haven't realized yet.

You probably talked about animals that day or saw some on tv.  I had a weird dream too about animals and I had saw a show reporting a puppy mill on tv the day before.  The subconscious seems to hold alot of things.
