I have the iPod Classic the one that they discontinued it's 160 GB. I love it because I can store all the music that I want, all the movies that I want and even use it as a back up drive. On the other hand the iPod touch has a much better visual interface and it's more attractive to the eye. With all the new apps coming out for the iPhone and iTouch it's becoming the trend to follow.
When I bought my iPod I paid the same price that a 32 GB iTouch costs.
In conclusion I wouldn't trade my Classic for a Touch just yet, unless they come out with a 160 GB iPod touch. Hope it helps.

Well 8GB is alot less than 80GB but if the change in memory doesn't bother you I would suggest the iPOd Touch. Just recently I switched in my iPod Classic 30GB for the iPod Touch 2nd Gen and I'm loving it. It has wifi and built in speakers so you don't have to always have earphones in. Plus touching it is addictive! It has notes where you can write memos to yourself and you can password protect it. If you don't want people snooping through you videos or photos or internet activity you name it! The Passcode protection is amazing. I personally couldn't be happier. The only thing I miss is the memory. With the Classic I felt like i could put the whole world on my iPOd now I'm always wondering, Will it be enough for me?

Well it depends if you'd rather have looks or storage capacity. The classic is kind of bulky, but I prefer to have a lot of space (since I have a lot of music and vids on my ipod). Besides, I've never really liked touchscreens, they can scratch easily, are more breakable, and just annoying when you accidentally touch something on the screen. So yes, I vote for classic.

The iPod Touch is the more novel of the two. With its downloadable apps, web browser, and huge touchscreen. But, when it comes to solid, reliable music and video storage, you can't beat the iPod Classic. I have the 120 GB one and I've only put 11 GB's on it and that's all the music I have at the moment. It's gonna take me forever to fill it, and I like that. So I vote you get the Classic, you'll be happier in the long run. Here's some reviews on each of them.

While I have an iTouch myself (and love it!) , if you don't care about the thickness or whatever, go with the iPod classic. You can do the same things (watch movies, videos, play games, view photos) on Classic as you can with the Touch. the only difference is that iTouch is well...touch lol, there are more games with it then classic and it has WiFi network. choice is yours :)

Bro...totally the Classic...you get more storage, its sturdier and it keeps up if you play hard, like you wouldn't take a really nice car off-roading, right? no. you'd take a Jeep. Idk, I love the hardiness of the classic, i don't always have to watch out for it. i feel ok taking it anywhere. I know they arent the "coolest new thing" but come on, if your into music, your into music...not trying to look cool. and if your trying to get so much storage...you must be into music. :)
