Sharp bowel pain during my period?
During the first or second day of my period, i'll get this random sharp bowel pain. It's a sharp pain that feels like extreme tension. Is this just a normal period symptom? or a sign of something more?
i suppose the pain is better after a bowel movement, but it's hard to tell because the pain gets increasingly better as my period continues anyway. BMs are painful as well, but other than that the pain seems to be pretty random

I get the same thing, but not only just when i'm on my period, and not every month, it comes and goes, which is the weirdest thing! Do you notice that the pain goes away after you go to the restroom and have a bowel movement? I'm guessing, that it might be some kind of fibroid in there and it gets rubbed on, and that's what causes the pain. Mine is in my lower pelvic area, it feels very, very sharp, but the pain is relieved when I have a bowel. I don't know if this helps...sorry
Hi Amanda, do you notice if your periods are more heavier since the pain? If they are or not, it still could be fibroids. Have the doctor perform an ultrasound to see if they find any.. if they don't maybe they can do an MRI or CAT scan to see more clearly what the problem is. Don't give up, even if the doctor says, it's nothing to worry about, still get another opinion. Good luck girl.....

at the same time as you assert painful bowel action. Do you propose soreness on your back passage or constipation. Constipation in the direction of your era may be very trouble-free. i can't choose for the finished week which then grant me back soreness. I particularly use Paracetamol not co-codamol as those make you constipated and a few thing to make me pass to the loo i.E lactulose or movical. yet while doubtful pass and notice your GP

I never used to have this until a miscarriage 4 months ago, and now one yesterday. I asked my doctor and they have done ultrasounds and everything (it is only during my periods). They didn't find anything. When I go to the bathroom it is relieved, but sometimes comes right back. It probably isn't anything to worry about, but if you're worried talk to your doctor! Good luck
