westinghouse breaker box question?
does anyone know if you can use a different brand of breaker in a westinghouse breaker box?
Im adding two breakers to run power to my shed, but can't find westinghouse breakers, lowe's and home depot don't have them, so i wasn't sure if a square D, or GE, or something else is compatible with this brand of breaker box
thanks
thank you everybody

Square D will not fit, Siemens/ ITE may make one that can be used. Your best solution is go to a electrical supply house. The big box stores will not stock that type of item since the turnover is too slow to make any money. You will need the brand and model and breaker type of your panel. If unsure, take one from your panel; to the supply house.

If you are not in a huge hurry, you can get Westinghouse breakers online.
Here are a couple of sources I would call:
http://www.circuitbreakerservice.com/Westinghouse/
http://www.baybreakers.com/catalog/Westinghouse.ht...
I've never had a problem making a purchase online and always received my items in a very timely fashion.

There is a company called I.T.E. and they make replacement breakers for outdated,or hard to find breaker boxes. If you cannot find a dealer for your Westinghouse, perhaps one of those box stores carry these replacements. Last one I got came in a clear pack, and said ITE SIEMENS,fits westinghouse etc. Good luck

They probably wont work because they all make them just different enough, Its a proprietary thing. Try an electric supply house, they'll have it.
