I am freaking out!!!!! HELP?

okay, so i was outside and all of a sudden i heard a low train whistle. I asked my mom if there was a train here, and she said there was in the 1800s. I also looked it up in my town library book about the history of our town and it ALSO said that there used to be a train. What I want to know is what kind of train it was. can you guys list some low whistle trains for me? thanks so much!!!

by the way it was an old train so no chinese speed trains or anything like that.

Update:

By the way I defiantly think it is a ghost train just because for years I have been hearing trains in our backyard and telling everyone that I have a train going through it but all my teachers say that there was never was a train in my home town. WRONG!

The library is a great place to start looking up your town's history. You might also try your city hall and check their website (if available) for more information. Keep digging in both areas and you will find what you're looking for. Also, the old train (ghost train), may have run close to your residence but not necessarily through it. Good luck.

    Hi there,

I don't know how helpful this suggestion will be, but why don't you try contacting a local history group in your area. The library would be able to give you details of such groups and they are usually a fantastic help with information. You could also look up more info on your area on the internet including photographs. Try talking to the elderly folks around your neighbourhood and see if they could help. Many would have been told stories regarding the trains from their grandparents, parents etc, so this could be a valuable information source.

I hope you find the answers to your questions and wish you a wonderful happy and successful future. :-)

PS Teachers don't always know everything :-)

  • That sounds pretty cool from somebody who isn't you's perspective. You're probably very scared. Try to find out if you were ever on that train in a past lifetime or related to it in some way or something really weird like that.

there is nothing wrong with hearing a ghost train.

    RELAX!

i hear things all the time!

it could just be our imagination anyways?

    ya never know.

just learn to be comfortable with this ghost train.

    ahhaha

I used to be scared of the ghost train.

    and the ghost children voices

(i live in an old school house with traintracks like 10 feet away)

but i learned to be comfortable with them,

    they cannot harm you!

This sounds like an impressive clairaudient experience. Indeed, do some historical research. You might surprise yourself.
