LGBT: Do you think your dreams of finding love will always be just dreams?

LGBT: My gay, straight, asexual, tran/cisgendered, bisexual and lesbian friends, do ever wonder if your dreams of finding that special someone or life mate might never be anything but dreams?

And in your quest for love, do you tend to just wish, hope and dream or do you actively pursue it?

I HAD the love of my dreams,

a perfect compatible someone I shared my life with.

We had a continuous 4-year long crush on each other,

and we didn't know it was possible to be so happy.

Then he HAD to go to Sri Lanka to visit his brother

he hadn't seen in years JUST when the Asian Tsunami

    hit.

I had my job and was keeping things going here 'til he

supposedly came back, but you wouldn't BELIEVE

how often I wish I had drowned along side him!

I lost the love of my life and know it NEVER happens

that way twice. But I'm grateful for the time we had.

YES you have to actively pursue true love. It takes

    commitment, work and time.

I barely ever even remember my dreams. Whenever I do remember my dreams, they're only about weird stuff... I remember a couple of years ago a had a dream about laying in bed with a bunch of guys and girls. We were all covered by a sheet so I didn't know exactly what had just transpired. lol. That was around the time when I first realized that I was possibly bisexual. I'd guess very infrequently though; the thought hardly ever crosses my mind, so I guess I wouldn't dream about it much.

Well it depends on my expectations.

Imagine this - before this little girl goes to bed, her mother tells her the story of Cinderella. About the beautiful prince upon the white horse, about their perfect love story. The little girl grows up a hopeless romantic without even attempting to get reality check and waits for her own prince.. forever.

And then there is me - the last time I was truly romantic (read gullible) I was 12 or 13 and I thought this guy from the other class was all that. He never did notice me, things between us didn't work out and I'm thankful because guess what? It was a wake up call. If I want my life to be a fairy tale, I should admit myself into a psychiatric clinic or something.

In my personal experience, love finds you. And it doesn't have to be like it is in the movies, for it to be amazing and meaningful. When you stop looking too hard for things, they appear right in front of you. Just chill and enjoy the ride.

Oh my god, wow! I haven't heard that song in years!! I think I was in Florida the last time I heard that (the original anyways). My favorite song of hers was "Be My Lover".

    Hehe...

Yes, sometimes I think all they will be all dreams because I'm too shy to actually say something to the person if I like them. Because a lot of people tend to freak out once they know you like them (and they don't like you like that). I don't want to lose them as a potential parter AND as a friend so I tend to keep quite. At least that's how it's been with the very few people I've actually liked.

I'll pursue it if I get the idea that they really do like me. Not just flirting but, serious emotions, then I'll probably try and pursue it. lol If I'm not scared. =//D

No, I had a dream for 42 years. It ended with tears on my pillow and treatment for suicidal depression. I do not avoid love but fear what may result.

i know i've had that feelings loads of times but then i look back at my life and i feel thats it's too good a life to be wasted without a true love, and i'm sure that there is someone for everyone in this world.

If there IS someone out there for me, fate will bring us together. So I spend my life sitting back and wishing fate would hurry up already. There's still plenty of time... right?

Yeah, I've had those thoughts, but I'll keep on hoping to find that special someone!

I kissed a lot of frogs before I found my prince! I stopped dreaming years ago! ♥

Sometimes yes, I seem to be getting more cynical about love as I age, but I still have hope!
