Can someone tell me what the benefits of a primer is?

Primer is really great, if you get s certain kind, it can be shiny and make your eyes stand out.

It helps the eyeshadow stay on longer, without collecting in the crease of your eyelid. I think it would be worth spending money on IF you wear makeup for long periods of time, or like to wear makeup and make sure that it still looks good during the day. You have to think of your face like a canvas before you paint a picture you have to prep your canvas same thing with your face you have to prep it. Cleanse, tone moisturize. The great thing about primer is that it locks in the moisture fills in any fine lines and pores and sheilds out all the bad stuff. If you wear foundation, powder etc. etc. it will sit on top of the primer and wont settle into your pores and it helps make your makeup last all day. In my opinion the two best primers are Mac prep and prime or Smashbox studio finish. I hope that helped you. Good Luck!
