Is it possible to live without a mobile phone?
My contract ends this week, and I haven't found a new deal yet.
I am thinking of giving up my mobile for good:)
So from now on, friends and family will receive messages from me via homing pigeons:D
If it was good enough for the Greeks, Persians, French etc. then it's good enough for me:D
Do you think I can teach my pigeon to sing Glory Glory Man United when it is delivering messages?
Thank you

Depends, if everyone you know has been used to "getting you on the mobile" then it will be like changing your address.
If you're like me, mobile only ever on if you need to call, and practically no-one has your mobile number, then it would be easy to do without.
Mind you, coming to the end of a contract, first thing is to look at what they will offer you to keep you.
And if you really can't get a decent deal, then stick it on PAYG - just as good if people want to get in touch with you, but obviously you'd want to cut your outgoing usage.

Great u have been saved it is possible 2 live without a mobile.also u have smashed it in time before yu get addicted to it so try keeping a landline so that others will share the burden of having to take all the crank calls'

No i couldnt live without mine!
I got a new mobile phone two weeks ago, with camera, video, MP3, cant put it down! Love it to bits! Use it for texts mostly though. Pay as you go on 02.
Tip for the pigeon s**t, hot soapy water with bleach gets it out! lol!

I do. I hate them and have no need for them. Sure they may be handy. But with the numerous accidents I've almost been in (because of moronic driver trying to talk or text)- I believe that is the reason I don't like them.
People seem to have forgotten about land lines. Everyone should have one of those a least.

AHH!!!
OO Homing pigeons. lmao that seems like fun!
Well did u c the movie 'the Producers'? the crazy nazi guy taught his pigeons to sing german songs so why cant u teach ur pigeons to sing "glory glory man united"? :) But of course i think u should teach them "when the spurs go marching in", its a much better song :)

Yes of course it is. My kids are always asking me why I even bother having one..lol.
I use it for emergency calls and as an alarm clock to wake me up for matches..haha. People ring me in but I hardly ever use it other than that.
