International Test & Country vs City On The Same Day?
It's hard on a team when they lose their international stars for a match, but I suspect it is even harder when you lose more players, especially when they may be the ones to make up for you losing your international players.
There are some teams that haven't been hit hard and then their are others who have been. In particular I think it is more unfair that some teams get a bye this week when others have to field a 3rd hand side to try and get 2 competition points. I'm all for the Country, City match and the Test side, but I don't think that they should be on at the same time and leave all other teams at a disadvantage when their clubs are their first place of employment and the ones who need them more.
There are loads of arguments about these games being played during the season. I think that they should stay where they are but not have two games such as these this close together. Last year they had City/Country on May 2 and the Test on May 9.
What do you think?

Yeah it does seem to be unfair to some teams with player rosters being stretched to the limit so your club can compete at NRL levels. Personally I would have Country vs City play each other for State of Origin positions then pick the test team from both Queensland and New South Wales origin players. The three different levels being played should also allow enough time between games so that regular clubs aren't losing too many rep players at once.

Players Will Only Play One Game That Weekend, So They Won't Be On Their Club Teams If They Are Picked For City, Country, Australia Or NZ. So They Will Be Rested.

Yer But City V Country Is Pretty Much For Debutiants Or Newbies So None OF Them Would Be Playing International

I think last years schedule was better this year takes a bit of gloss of the City V Country game but I'm a QLDer and I'll still be watching the game I think it will be the most competitive one in a long time I think all players will be taking it seriously because so many NSW jumpers are up for grabs the only walk up starts for the blues are Gidley and Gallen so I'm very interested to see how everyone goes especially the hooker and halves

Play the test match and ditch City vs Country. Its a waste of time. What good comes out of it?

I think it is pretty ordinary. They keep saying how important the city/country game is then they demean by putting it on against a test. For those who go to either game, how do they watch the other game? But the way the NRL handles their affairs we should have expected this.

I prefer the way it was done last year. That would also mean the City-Country game gets a share of the spotlight - this year it will be overshadowed by the Test match hype.

It is crap, but TV/Fox have the last say in the matter of which games go on because of what they pay nrl.
City V Country should be played first, then State of Origin, then Tests.
Wake up NRL you brown noses!

It's super gay.
City v Country should be an Origin trial. Origin should be a Test trial. Flipping everything around like that is crap.

No I think it's better on the same day, so then you can give other players a CHANCE of playing for their Country.
