How many 'laker fans' will abandon ship if the Rockets win the next game?

Suppose the Rockets take it to the lakers again the next game. How many 'laker fans' will instantly turn into Rocket fans who 'have always liked the Rockets'? If the Rockets would pull out the upset and beat the lakers in the series will there be any laker fans left, or will they be busy trying to memorize one players name on the lakers to idolize and claim that he's the best player to ever step on a court?

Update:

Nickster....as much as I hate to have to agree with a lakers fan...your spot on.

And Corey, once again you crack me up. Thanks for the laugh.

What up the Voice of Reason,

i would say that anyone who abandons their team just because they are down 0-2 in a series are not real fans at all. And as a true Laker fan i would be glad that they left- because the Lakers don't need those kinds of fans. A true fan sticks with their team through the good times and bad times... unfortunately every team has "bandwagon fans."

As a true fan i would be worried and trying to figure out what the Lakers would have to do to right the ship. But i'm confident they will respond well and pull out a victory in game 2 and then figure out what they have to do to win in Houston to get homecourt advantage and control of the series back.

The legitimate Lakers fans will probably stick with them. The others will probably just drop out of sight and focus their attention on the nearest shiny object. I don't really see any of them rooting for the Rockets. They typically don't root for the teams that humiliate them. If anything they will probably start hating on the Rockets like there is no tomorrow.

I will never abandon the Lakers. I didn't abandon them back in 2004 when shaq left and I didn't abandon them when they didn't make the playoffs a few years ago.

Sorry to break your heart but their are ALOT of true Laker fans out there

    GO LAKERS!!! :p

I'll always be with the Lakers.

Never will I leave them. The only time I will leave them is when I die.

Anyways, I like the Rockets since I live in H-Town, but still I like the Lakers better. :]

Probably a lot of bandwagon fans as it is with any team. But real Laker fans don't jump ship.

Man it's incredible how people lose their minds after one game.

EDIT: Mamba is right. There are a lot of true Laker fans.

They will abandon ship for the rest of the playoffs if the rockets win game 2. But they will be back next season with excuses.

I will never abandon the Lakers. I didn't abandon them back in the early 90s when they sucked, and I didn't abandon them when they didn't make the playoffs a few years ago.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but their are ALOT of true Laker fans out there.

  • just because you've seen a few bandwagon fans doesnt mean all of the fans are bandwagoners . stop being so stereotypical .
